Public Employee Retirement Obligations Dwarf California’s Deficit, Says CBS Report

Kris Hunt, Executive Director of the Contra Costa County Taxpayers Association, did a great job on Channel 5 in San Francisco this evening in a news report on our public employee pension and health care costs. The segment was titled “State Worker Obligations Dwarf California Deficit” and it can now be viewed online . The report also aired on the CBS affiliate in Los Angeles (Channel 9), so it got statewide exposure. Kris is a member of CFFR’s Advisory Board.

CFFR posts ‘The CalSTRS $100,000 Pension Club’ list

Today, CFFR has posted “The CalSTRS $100,000 Pension Club’ on its website in PDF format. Says CFFR’s vice president Marcia Fritz, “This list indicates that teachers who work full careers and serve in challenging positions are indeed fairly compensated.
